Kenya has a deep-rooted history for being one of the most democratic countries in Africa and this was manifested a few days ago with the peaceful handover of power from Uhuru Kenyata to Dr. William Ruto.
Since democracy and patriotism go together, there are several Kenyan songs that preach patriotism and the best among them currently is ‘Tujenge Taifa’, a collabo by Exray Taniua, Teslah, Byron and Omolillo.
Distributing via Black Market Records, ‘Tujenge Taifa’ has since made it to the list of the best patriotic songs in Kenya.
This development has earned Exray Taniua, Teslah, Byron and Omolillo lots of respect from Kenyans and Pan-Africanists who credited the song to become the current theme song that spreads unity, love and affection among their fellow neighbours.
‘Tujenge Taifa’, which officially premiered on YouTube on President Ruto’s inauguration day, is a deep song with a strong message.
Given the reception accorded to this studio project so far, all indications are that it is a timeless Pan-African anthem that will always be iconic because the message it spreads goes beyond Kenya’s borders.
