The grand finale for Kwata Mic, a talent search show that was started up this year by Black Market Records in conjunction with Ndejje University TV, was held last weekend at Studio Black Market 256, in Nateete.
Ibah Percentage, a talented upcoming Ugandan artist, emerged winner of the Kwata Mic Season One, after he beat off competition from over 20 contestants.
Percentage scooped the grand prize after performing his thrilling track dubbed ‘Bakumogola’, which takes the storyline of a man complaining about his cheating lover.
Apart from the grand prize, which is an engraved drum, Percentage also walked away with a recording deal for one audio and video courtesy of Black Market Records.
Besides Iber Percentage however, the other Season One finalist was promising dancehall artist Bash Muzika, who mashed up the audience with his massive tunes.
