Music has become a very strong unifying factor in the East African Community (EAC) and one of the songs currently playing towards this unity is ‘Finyo’, a banger by Swat Matire featuring Wakali Wao.
After being in rotation on Kenyan airwaves for some weeks now, ‘Finyo’ has already crossed over the borders to Uganda.
Being a very pulsating party jam, ‘Finyo’ has been embraced by Ugandan TV stations, with the first station to have played the song being national broadcaster Star TV, although other stations have since jumped on it too.
But besides being accorded TV airplay, ‘Finyo’ is also being played massively at several night clubs around Kampala after several Ugandans falling in love with the vibe it brings around.
In fact, Swat Matire and Wakali Wao are already turning the tables on the Ugandan entertainment scene with ‘Finyo’, which is showing signs of becoming a regional hit.
